Global climate change threats to population health and well-being. It is one of the most pressing and present scientific issues of this century. National Library of Medicine (NLM) resources provide information about human health, environment, and renewable energies, plus pollution and toxic chemicals. The intern will start from an interactive iOS mobile application, Run4Green that was developed by NLM, designed to teach the importance of protecting and conserving our environment and how doing so relates to human health. We would like the interns to write content, build posters, flies, and connect with area organizations, communities, and schools to promote NLM resources. The interns could explore ways through social media, outreach, or campaign activities.
|Imagining new solutions|
The interns are interested in the program of taking action to reduce the effects of climate change on health, to advocate green products and renewable energies.
