The e-intern will join the National Meeting Planning Committee for the Global Ties: U.S. national meeting held in February 2017. In collaboration with other committee members, the e-intern will develop the framework for educational workshops and create materials to enhance the learning experience. The e-intern will gain exposure to a cohort of citizen diplomats located across the country, but will also gain an understanding of international exchanges and U.S. foreign policy priorities. Participation in monthly committee conference calls will be required and the participant will be invited to attend the February meeting in Washington, DC.

This internship is in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) brings current and emerging leaders from around the world to the United States for intensive three-week exchanges. Each year, approximately 5,000 participants on over 800 projects focus on thematic topics including U.S. foreign policy, climate change and renewable energy, conflict resolution, investigative journalism, volunteerism, rule of law, and more.
