|Project Title||Be a Data Diplomat for the Census Bureau|
|Project Summary||Help the Census Bureau by identifying how our data are being used in a number of potential contexts (e.g., community tools, commercial tools, governments - federal, state, local, etc. Though we are the "gold standard" of statistics in the US, we have a challenge discovering how our stats are used|
|Number of Interns||5|
Help us by searching for data disseminators who serve Census statistics, reach out to tool builders to find out what they find most valuable in our stats, help us create an inventory and establish a connective tissue with these stakeholders to help us make our stats more useful and actionable towards increasing the understanding of our communities, neighborhoods and interests. Some examples can be found here: opportunity.census.gov
The most important skill we seek is curiosity. Curiosity is paramount to productive research and building productive relationships with users.
