|Number of Interns||2|
The Office of International Relations (OIR) serves as the central point of coordination for all of the Smithsonian’s international activities. OIR is the central representative for institution-wide international programs and leads relationships with U.S. government and international organizations, including the Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, foreign embassies, and other governmental and private organizations in the U.S. and abroad. OIR works across all the Smithsonian’s disciplines and across all units, helping bridge the scientific and cultural activities of our many museums and research centers.
The e-Intern responsibilities will vary over the course of the year based on current projects, needs and intern interests. Projects are generally research or writing-based with a focus on current and ongoing international activities. The e-Internship is designed to provide a few concrete and ongoing projects with flexibility for smaller projects.
