Interested in issues that impact women? The project seeks a person to develop and publish a weekly newsletter focused on women's issues in the federal workforce. You review topical news stories and assemble them in hyperlinks embedded in an engaging text and highlight breaking issues related to women. Stories and articles are drawn from internet sources like Politico, State Department blog, Harvard Business Review, New York Times, INC.com, and a wide variety of other sources. The audience for the newsletter are primarily women and men working in the U.S. Embassy in Berlin and the U.S. Consulates in Germany. The format of the newsletter has already been developed, but we are open to your ideas!

The primary purpose of the Department of State’s Federal Women’s Program (FWP) is to promote career opportunities and advancement for women in the Foreign and Civil Service, and to recognize their contributions to the Department’s mission. The FWP was created in response to federal legislation and executive orders making the status of women an integral part of the larger equal employment opportunity effort.
