|Project Title||Youth Corps Research|
|Project Summary||Develop research and content for Agency documents on youth issues in particular related to positive youth development. Updating/maintaining the youth resource hub.|
|Agency||Agency for International Development|
|Number of Interns||1|
In 2012, USAID launched its Youth in Development Policy to outline a framework for how best to engage the 1.8 billion youth globally as partners in development. In June 2016, the Agency hired a Youth Coordinator to work alongside our Youth Corps (made up of the points of contact on youth development in all Bureaus) in implementing the Policy as well as supporting the integration of promising practices into all our work across sectors.
The Virtual Intern would work with the Youth Coordinator to:
1) Advance the compilation of research on an array of youth issues, ranging from positive youth development, to globlal adolescent health, to preventing violent extremism and package it in a way that can help inform current program work across Bureaus.
2) Help develop social media content stories and resources that can be shared broadly with the field.
