Project Description

The Spanish Section at the School of Language Studies of the Foreign Service Institute offers intensive Spanish training to members of the Foreign Affairs community preparing to live and work in Spanish-speaking host countries. Our film series intends to deepen their social and cultural knowledge of these societies. Structured extracurricular material is essential to support students' deeper learning. The Spanish section has designed and created material around ten Spanish films and is interested in expanding its selection of film options.

Under the guidance of a Spanish Section expert, eInterns will:

- Research, suggest, and develop pre-viewing activities to prepare learners to view the film, i.e., by selecting and annotating key vocabulary, highlighting relevant cultural elements including social relevance of each film and its background, providing information relevant to the main topic and important subtopics, etc.
