The President and Secretary of State have made environment, science, technology and health issues a major priority through their interest and direct involvement in advancing U.S. objectives on climate change, ocean conservation, wildlife trafficking, science, innovation and entrepreneurship, and global health. These issues have significant impacts domestically and abroad and the State Department plays the lead role in engaging on them internationally. The VSFS eIntern will be responsible for performing a daily comprehensive news search and compiling news clips for the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES). The eIntern will search a wide variety of online news sources for stories and subjects relevant to our mission. The clips have an international and national focus and are used to inform hundreds of Department of State employees, including senior officials, of the latest environmental and scientific news.
Clips will be compiled daily except on weekends and Federal holidays.
