Project Description

This project is with USAID's US Global Development Lab's Center for Development Innovation. The Innovation Design and Advisory team seeks to support USAID and its partners to incentivize more people to innovate and solve development challenges with us. One method we use to do this are prizes, which are open competitions which offer prizes to motivate action and innovation towards a specific outcome. In the next year, USAID is planning to launch three high-profile prize programs around topics that may include energy efficiency, ocean toxins, and early-grade learning technologies. This project involves researching the current State of Innovation around the chosen topics, analyzing barriers that are limiting innovation, and mapping key stakeholders (including partners, potential innovators, experts, communication and outreach networks, etc).
