|Project Title||Mapping Faith-Based Organizations in Central America: Gender-based Violence|
|Project Summary||Assist the Office of Religion and Global Affairs (S/RGA) in developing a contact matrix that maps the different religions and indigenous groups in Central America working to combat femicide and other forms of gender-based violence|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||3|
The virtual intern would review and analyze peer reviewed articles, survey information, and other research data to gather information on faith-based entities in Central America working on gender-based violence (GBV) issues. After gathering the information, the intern would work with S/RGA to identify the different categories of religious groups. Then the eIntern would feed the categories into a matrix that will show the role that specific groups are playing in relationship to combatting GBV in their communities (also identifying contributing issues that may intersect with GBV).
