|Project Title||Journalist for Knowledge Management Practices|
|Project Summary||Tell the story! Assist a cutting-edge project at State Department that is providing critically needed user-centered tools and solutions to Foreign Policy Professionals.|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||7|
The State Department's Knowledge Management Initiative seeks an intern to collect experiences from Embassies and Consulates and back in the Department about their knowledge practices. Gather and evaluate KM best practices and lessons learned in the field to share with others throughout State who can learn from them. Then, tell the story - highlight great initiatives in compelling ways, illustrating and explaining them in easy-to-reuse formats.
Research, draft, and edit timely and accurate blog posts, and possibly brochures, presentations, blog posts, digital videos, and podcasts, related to KM for an internal State Department audience. Communicate with the KM team to spread awareness of important initiatives. Potentially, advocate for key practices that should be broadly adopted.
