The candidate will be supporting RDMA’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG) in providing in-depth analysis on emerging science and technology trends and how these can be applied to achieve USAID’s development objectives in the Asia region. This will include research on leading-edge advances in S&T such as machine learning, block chain, next-gen gene editing technologies, IoT, advances in renewable energy, among other topics. The candidate will also assist in compiling the these findings as well as the other TAG activities in an easy to read format (e.g. newsletter) that will be distributed to USG colleagues across Asia and in Washington, DC. This internship will be a great opportunity to learn about the latest advances in a variety of fields and to understand how these can be applied within the development context, while gaining a deeper understanding of the complexity of the development challenges facing the diversity of countries that USAID supports in Asia.
