Peace Corps is a unique place to work. People that work here are very passionate about the mission, and the passion comes through in their work. Peace Corps has a 5-year limit on positions, so there is a lot of staff turnover. And with this 5 year rule, staff want to make the most of their time and learn all they can while they are here. This is what makes training especially important, but it also means that as an intern you will have a lot of learning opportunities available to you.
The ability to be flexibile, and experience with SharePoint are preferred. |

In order to increase the effectiveness of our messaging, a new strategy needs to be designed and implemented. We need creative minds that can help us innovate in our approach and improve our overall communications as an office. We want to tell the story of the OCIO and all the work being done daily across the globe. We have several channels to leverage and the ideal strategy will allow us to maximize what we can get out of them. |

Content Management for Volunteer Lifecycle |
This project aims to create a consolidated portal which will unify all Volunteer-serving software applications and give Invitees, Trainees, Sworn-in Volunteers, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) a single point-of-entry through which to access these applications. |

Website design |
For years, Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) have accessed all Volunteer-serving applications separately: separate URLs, separate login credentials, etc. The redundancy in processes and the inefficiency in system management and resourcing has resulted in a complex and difficult-to-use ecosystem of disparate software applications. Both staff at PC/Washington and in the field have struggled to create a seamless user experience for Volunteers throughout the entire Volunteer lifecycle (from application to returning from service). Moreover, Volunteers have long complained about the lack of clear instructions regarding access, purpose, and technical support for each system. The proposed project addresses these issues.
The objectives of this effort are:
• To create a secure, unified portal for Volunteer-serving applications
• To enable non-staff access (such as Invitees, Trainees, sworn-in Volunteers, and RPCVs) to Volunteer-serving applications through an externally-published web-based portal, and responsive user interface design for mobile devices and tablets.
• To leverage an identity and access management mechanism for Invitees, Trainees, sworn-in Volunteers, and RPCVs.
