The Office of the Historian provides historical analysis to Department of State employees in Washington and overseas based on the current policy needs of the Department. The VSFS student in this position will execute both short- and long-term projects on the history of U.S. relations with countries in the Western Hemisphere. This will include research in primary documents, building timelines of U.S. relations with specific countries, creating topical reading lists of secondary literature, and other tasks as assigned.
