U.S. Consulate General Toronto seeks 3-6 virtual interns to monitor foreign language media in Canada. Chinese, Russian, and Farsi media offer interesting and useful insights into governments' and diaspora's views on Canadian and U.S. foreign policy. Successful applicants will identify the most relevant press sources in these languages, monitor and review them regularly, and produce written reports on interesting news, op-eds, features etc. for use by the Political Sections of the U.S. mission in Canada.

We are looking for students who have a high reading comprehension in Russian, Chinese, or Persian to monitor the diverse diaspora media of Canada. Each language team will ideally have at least two interns. The project will be facilitated through Slack.
