Project Description

The rollout of China’s industrial policies like Made in China 2025 created a dynamic environment for the country’s provinces, as China ramps up its manufacturing of everything from electric cars to farm equipment. Using open source media, the virtual intern will conduct open source research into how each of China’s provinces are implementing industrial policy. Interns will be encouraged to use their own creativity in seeking out sources of information. They will collect and analyze data and information, compiling them into a weekly report. The internship is a perfect opportunity for students to learn more about this cornerstone of China’s economic policy, as well as understand how China’s economic policies are implemented outside the capital.
