Project Description

Each year, the U.S. Mission in Ecuador writes four congressionally-mandated reports on the human rights situation in Ecuador. The Human Rights, International Religious Freedom, Trafficking in Persons, and the Child Labor reports play a significant role in influencing the U.S.-Ecuador bilateral cooperation on these issues. The intern would conduct periodic Internet-based research and report to the Embassy's political section on these issues. The political section would also ask the intern to help edit and fact-check the reports.
