Project Description

EducationUSA Belarus team is looking for a person interested to know more about Belarus, practice peer to peer advising, develop cross-cultural communication, presentation, editing and assessment as well as leadership skills. Working alongside with EducationUSA Belarus advisers you will get an opportunity to be a mentor for 20-30 Belarusian high school students, help them practice English speaking and writing skills and inspire them to choose U.S. colleges as their higher education destinations.

You will be expected to:
- Facilitate a monthly book/article or video discussion;
- Conduct a monthly session on college culture or topic related to studying in the U.S. (held between 4PM and 7PM UTC+3 time);
- Review 1 monthly individual assignment for 20-30 students, such as personal essay or academic writing task;
- Work closely with EducationUSA mentor.

Interns will get access to virtual advising tools used by the center and be featured on EdUSA Belarus Youtube channel.
