Public Affairs Section (PAS) Dubai is looking for multiple interns who have an interest and passion for meeting people as well as for telling stories and a curiosity for other cultures. PAS Dubai has active social media channels and does extensive EducationUSA outreach to promote higher education opportunities in the United States. The interns would assist us in gathering video and photographic material for these channels, as well as for possibly screening at educational fairs in the UAE.
A sample project might be interviews with Muslim students in the U.S. about how they celebrate Ramadan. The intern would identify the interviewee, secure a photo/video release (template provided by PAS Dubai), conduct the interview and then send the raw footage to us. Another sample project would be speaking with Emirati students near you and interviewing them about their university experiences.
|Social media management|
The interns are also welcome to edit the interview but no video editing experience is needed. We would expect that the footage be taken via a smartphone. We are looking for self-starters as the interns would be responsible for identifying potential interviewees and making all arrangements for interviews.
We seek interns at multiple universities throughout the United States who are pro-active and have excellent interpersonal skills.
A smartphone and the ability to send large files via email is needed for this project.
