Project Code: STATE-AUT-11
|Project Title||Database Development Project - Local Leave Application|
|Project Summary||Re-develop a database with a web interface supported by SQL, from a preexisting Microsoft Access 2000 database.|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||3|
This database keeps track of sick leave days taken by LE Staff which is important since the pay level during sick leave is determined by local labor law so its regulations are programmed into the database. We enter each day an employee is on sick leave into the database. The database is programmed to know how many fully paid/half paid sick leave days a person has available in a certain time frame, depending on the number of years of employment, and tells me at what point the salary should be reduced to half pay or to zero pay. Also, the database automatically adds new employees into the correct section or moves employees who left employment into the ‘former employees’ column.
This project will require a basic to intermediate level of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Server proficiency. In essence, each voucher will have a large amount of information associated with it, but the information will be managed through the separate queries that are generated by the user.
We are looking for three design / data visualization / software development whiz who will make this database in Vienna dynamic, visually-appealing, and user-friendly! Can you Help us?
The design and development skills used for this project will easily transfer to other organizations that have a similar product catalog.
