Project Code: STATE-USA-IIP-186
|Project Title||Tell the TechCamp Story|
|Project Summary||Interview and write about the TechCamp participants and trainers, focused on the impact they are having in their communities around the world.|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||1|
If you’re a good writer, interested in digital storytelling and passionate about creating compelling content then this position is for you. We need help interviewing past TechCamp participants, trainers, and project winners about their experience at TechCamp and writing compelling stories about how their projects have developed since the event and the impact it has had in their community. The eIntern selected will reach out (over email, skype, phone) to individuals, conduct interviews, and then create blog posts that talk about the successful projects and skills developed through the TechCamp program. The Virtual Intern will also reach out to trainers and past participants to encourage them to write their own unique accounts of their experience and how TechCamp continues to benefit their work.

The TechCamp program is a Public Diplomacy tool in the Bureau of International Information Programs. TechCamp events are two-day, hands-on, participant-driven workshops that connect technology experts with key populations — journalists, non-governmental organizations, civil society advocates, and more — to explore and apply innovative tech solutions to global issues.
