Project Description

Are you good with a red pen? Do you have an eye for detail or an ear for awkward phrasing? Consider joining VA’s office of Digital Media Engagement as an editing intern for the Operation Song project. Operation song uses musical therapy to help Veterans express themselves through music. Through this partnership, interns create blog posts highlighting Veterans who have written songs about those experiences.

Editing interns are responsible for reviewing written work and making edits as needed before submitting them to our team for final review and publishing. Blog posts are written and submitted by other interns, but need to be reviewed for typos, correct grammar and phrasing, correct use of AP Style, and adherence to VA style. Our communication work is a representation of the VA as a whole. Publishing accurate, quality work is one of our team’s most important obligations, so we are looking for people who can help ensure that every post is ready to go before it is published.
