Project Code: VA-USA-65
|Project Title||Social Media Analyst - Instagram|
|Project Summary||Help VA track it's social performance! We're looking for analytical minds and problem-solvers to help us gather metrics and insights from VA's official social media channels. VA has well over 1 million followers between its official channels and we want to know what content appeals to them!|
|Agency||Veterans Affairs Department|
|Number of Interns||50|
Our team manages the main social media channels for the entire Department of Veterans Affairs. As an analyst with the Digital Media Engagement team, you will be helping us determine what we're doing well and what we could do better.
Social media analyst interns will work in Salesforce Social Studio to analyze the metrics for our Instagram content. Interns will use data to provide us insights into how we can perhaps improve our performance, what's working, what's not, general audience reception of our content, and more.
Other possible responsibilities may include: reviewing social media posts by ensuring the appropriate labels are added to increase the accuracy of our reported metrics; creating performance reports for social media campaigns; and assisting in pulling internal requests for metrics related to particular social content.
|Social media management|

Our team uses Salesforce Social Studio to schedule content for our social media channels. You will be given an account on our Salesforce Social Studio platform and will be trained in how to use it in order to schedule social content. This will be valuable experience to add to your repertoire and will be a tremendous help to the VA and to Veterans.
The Department of Veterans Affairs' Digital Media Engagement Team internship is one of the largest and most established internship programs available through the Virtual Student Federal Service. Last year, our internship had approximately 120 interns in various departments and leadership positions. If you want to join a team that is well structured and will offer meaningful work that will help you build skills that you can actually add to your resume, then you should definitely join our team.
