Project Code: VA-USA-19
|Project Summary||No one likes starting a new job and not knowing what to do. Help the VA’s Digital Media Engagement Team create turnover documents for new interns to use when onboarding future interns.|
|Agency||Veterans Affairs Department|
|Number of Interns||50|
As a Turnover Document intern, your work will directly contribute to the team’s success and help your fellow interns master the ins-and-outs of the Digital Media Engagement internship program. Your typical work assignments may include planning, designing, developing, modifying and completing documents meant to introduce future interns to their responsibilities. Interns will collaborate with DME's intern teams to learn about their roles.
As a part of this internship position, you will interview current interns and learn all about their positions so that you can create onboarding documents for the next year's interns. You can also review the documents that were created during the previous year. You may also be called upon to develop Frequently Asked Questions along with answers. You might also be involved in creating educational videos using screen recording software, creating documents, updating previous documents, and potentially creating web pages for each intern position.
Writing and editing experience is required.
The Department of Veterans Affairs' Digital Media Engagement Team internship is one of the largest and most established internship programs available through the Virtual Student Federal Service. Last year, our internship had approximately 120 interns in various departments and leadership positions. If you want to join a team that is well structured and will offer meaningful work that will help you build skills that you can actually add to your resume, then you should definitely join our team.
