Project Description

To ensure that ALL Veterans (even those with disabilities) are able to benefit from our podcast, and to be in compliance with 508 accessibility standards, the Borne the Battle podcast must have written transcripts to go along with audio-only content. The transcript interns are responsible for writing transcripts of each episode. One transcript should be completed per every two weeks.

Excellent listening and grammar skills are required as well as familiarity with the Veteran space. Transcript interns may also have the opportunity to host their own episodes on the podcast and will coordinate with the podcast host. Benefits include: helping make information on resources for Veterans more widely accessible and gaining skills in podcast production.

You may also be asked to transcribe other content from the VA's Digital Media Engagement Team as well as other teams across the VA. You may be asked to transcribe things such as videos, or other podcasts.
