Project Description

S/CCI brings together the many elements in the State Department working on cyber issues, including security, economic issues, freedom of expression, and free flow of information on the Internet. As the team engages with partners in bilateral and multilateral fora on the range of cyber diplomacy, it is critical to monitor how the policy, and our messaging, is digested by the public. As the press and social media intern, you would be responsible for the monitoring the Twitter account, drafting and clearing tweets and culling and expanding our followers. You would also be responsible for compiling a weekly media summary of news article related to cyber diplomacy policies. Finally, you would track and report on cyber-related panels, forums and speeches initiated by the non-governmental stakeholder community.
