VSFS interns are tasked with tracking and reporting on social and traditional media coverage of any high-level media interviews, press briefings, or media advisories that we coordinate or disseminate. Interns also do research for various on-going projects. For example, our previous interns were heavily involved in research for a study of the Western Hemisphere social media environment.
Interns are asked to keep an eye on social media and any large-scale conversations going on about the US Government and Ibero-America. We also request interns assistance in creating social media graphics, video or photo clips to be used on the USAenEspanol and USAemPortugues Twitter and Facebook pages.
Proficiency in Spanish is required for our intern. Proficiency in Portuguese is a bonus, but not required.
