|Project Summary||Become the social media “voice” of the Consulate General in Florence, one of the world’s most popular cities for American study abroad students. You will work directly with a Foreign Service Officer to draft, craft, design, and analyze content that engages Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and San Marino.|
|Country/Region of Focus||Italy|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||1|
E-interns have played a crucial role in developing @USCGFlorence on facebook and twitter since the Fall of 2017. You will work one-on-one with a Foreign Service mentor to draft regular social media content as well as design special campaigns and analyze trends. Creativity and attention to detail are a must. Study abroad students in Italy for the 2018-2019 school year are strongly encouraged to apply for this rewarding complement to your international program as you will be immersed in local culture and collaborate in real-time with the Consulate. Previous e-interns have inspired online campaigns such as #DailyBellezza, #ProtectYourPassport, and our bicentennial initiative #Insieme200/#Together200. Build the portfolio you desire and employers crave with this rewarding e-internship program at U.S. Consulate General Florence.

|Social media management|
The position is open globally but all previous social media e-interns at Consulate General Florence have been studying abroad in Italy during the internship. Some knowledge of Italian is helpful for monitoring social media, however any content developed by e-interns is vetted and translated by the Consulate’s local Italian staff.
