Project Description

Cyber threats by criminals and foreign nationals is the number one threat to the United States and the citizens of Arizona. You can help fight this threat by being a cyber warrior for the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC), Arizona’s Fusion Center. You will sharpen your critical thinking and analytical writing skills by working with the ACTIC Cybersecurity Coordinator and Strategic Analysts on real-world cyber threat analysis. You will review current national cyber threats as they emerge and analyze them for their actual effect and their impact on Arizona. You will write up your analysis in a concise, actionable and clear manner for distribution to government entities, private partners and other fusion centers. You will also write articles and materials to post on the ACTIC website to help improve the public's cybersecurity awareness.

We're looking for someone who wants to make a difference and keep our government, businesses and citizens safe from cyber crime. The ideal candidate would have good critical thinking skills and have a background in cyber security or information technology. Estimated time commitment is 5-10 hours per week.
