Project Description

The project aims at expanding the U.S. Embassy outreach and providing additional language practice and cultural exposure to a large group of Tunisian English language students via Facebook videos or skype. The virtual intern is supposed to create English and U.S. culture lessons and encourage students to be engaged in conversation without any fear of making mistakes. The main purpose would be to increase the students fluency and grow their knowledge about the United States. The intern is free to choose the suitable topic to discuss with the students every week. Suggested topics could include jobs, traditions, family, travel, sports, hobbies, U.S. famous people. Each intern would provide three hours of conversation practice per week for groups of up to 40 students each session.
