As an intern, you would have the opportunity to help put a human face on the technological tools available in the Department and help us communicate our story about how to leverage the cloud, mobile and other resources to advance U.S. foreign policy goals. If you have graphic design and data visualization skills and are interested in the intersection between technology and diplomacy, this would be a great fit for you! Your skills can help ensure that information for U.S. diplomats about technological innovation is attractive and relevant.
The Office of eDiplomacy serves as an applied technology think tank for the U.S. Department of State. We advocate for customers’ needs in IT investments, policies, and services; support U.S. diplomats across the globe with collaborative technologies; and promote diplomatic and technological innovations to both foreign affairs colleagues and civil society partners. To this end, we produce several products for diplomatic practitioners, including an internal blog, to help explain the technological tools that can be used to advance U.S. diplomacy.
