Project Description

We are interested in what Caribbean, and regional official and social media are saying about the Haitian diaspora, where are they going and why, how they are treated, what their needs are.
1. Which countries report Haitians entering their borders? Are there numbers mentioned?
2. How are Haitians treated in that country (by the government, others)? Is civil society assisting?
3. What is the tone of the media in these aThis will inform us of the current realities, issues and reach of Haitians in the diaspora.

3. What is the tone of the media in these articles?
4. Are there examples of best (or bad) practices that other governments might benefit from?
Spanish is a must (reading and listening), it would be helpful to also access media in Portuguese, French, Creole and Dutch.
