Project Description

Given the huge demand, various English language centers have opened in different cities around war-torn Yemen; however, the qualification process to become an English language teacher is lacking in some areas. The ongoing conflict in Yemen has not helped, as native English speakers are now hard to find in the country. An intern will provide an excellent opportunity for a group of Yemeni teachers to enhance their conversational skills to better teach English language in their classrooms. Teachers will also gain knowledge about the United States’ culture and values.
