Project Summary Monitor Mexican, U.S. and other media for news on human rights, migration, and related topics and compile daily news summaries for Embassy Mexico's POL section. News clips come from a variety of international and domestic media sources in both Spanish and English.

Project Description

The Intern will compile news summaries of articles and reporting on current events related to human rights, migration, and related topics. The summaries should also include news relevant to these topics and their impact on the U.S.-Mexican relationship. The intern should use multiple information sources including Spanish and English-language publicly available content, such as newspapers, op-eds and blogs; television/radio programs; social media, including
Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, and public statements by government officials. The Interns will deliver a daily summary to their POL mentor. Readership includes Embassy section heads, and Washington personnel in the State Department and White House.
