Citizen science and crowdsourcing are approaches the federal government and nongovernmental organizations use to engage the public in addressing societal needs and accelerating science, technology, and innovation. Citizenscience.gov is an official government website and program designed to accelerate the use of these approaches across the U.S. government. This internship will offer the opportunity to help improve the site working in partnership with communities of people representing multiple agencies.
You help us create a process to revise content for a catalog of federally supported citizen science projects and keep this content up to data. You will help facilitate the addition of new content into a toolkit to assist federal practitioners with designing and maintaining their projects.
The intern may be involved in and able to learn about web design, use of social media, and programming in HTML and CSS.
