Have you ever wondered how the Federal government works with IT? Or how we adopt new technologies to adapt to a changing world? How do we measure up against tech companies on the bleeding edge? The U.S. State Department wants to know! We are seeking students majoring in statistics, technology, or a field that can be applied researching the differences in IT technology and adoption between the public and private sectors.
The selected internship candidate will have the opportunity to conduct research and gain insight from professionals in both the federal and private industries. We are looking for a research paper that examines and analyzes the similarities and differences between the two sectors, as well as effective and ineffective technology adoption strategies. The research paper will be used to address the methodologies that federal agencies could adopt to improve the implementation of technology. It will also be used as a study to see how IT professionals are utilized in growing areas such as cybersecurity and cloud computing.
