Project Description

The Iran Regional Presence Office (IRPO) in Dubai seeks up to two Public Affairs interns to assist in conducting analysis of Iran's traditional and social media environments and/or contemporary Iranian cultural sectors, such as sports, fine arts, performing arts, publishing, and literature. The intern will monitor open sources and draft summaries and analyses of cultural events, socio-cultural phenomena, and newsworthy shifts in Iran's media landscape. Interns will be assigned both long-term projects (spend several weeks researching a single topic and provide a comprehensive report), and data gathering projects or short-term assignments to report on specific events. Superior Farsi language proficiency in reading and listening is required, as the intern will conduct research using exclusively Iranian Farsi-language open sources.
