The VSFS eIntern(s) will be responsible for performing daily comprehensive news searches and compiling a weekly report of the most salient news clips on human trafficking in up to eight South Asian countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka). The eintern will also be responsible for regularly checking a variety of NGO and government websites in select countries for new publications or reports related to trafficking. J/TIP may assign other research projects on South Asia as time permits.
J/TIP seeks energized and highly skilled researchers. The anti-trafficking media clips and report analyses are used immediately to inform J/TIP policy makers and regional counterparts on key areas for engagement. Additionally, J/TIP often uses the press clips and reports in the Trafficking in Persons Report, published each June.
