Environment, science, technology and health (ESTH) issues play a dynamic role in Vietnam’s economic and political spheres and are a key area of engagement within the bilateral relationship. Your principle task would be to review available English-language media (and, if you speak Vietnamese as well, Vietnamese language media) news articles focused on ESTH issues and compile a weekly round-up of 5-10 articles for broad distribution within the State Department and other Federal agencies.
These weekly news summaries routinely generate policy discussions, and are read and frequently commented on by the Ambassador and other Embassy leaders.

The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi distributes a weekly round-up of articles every Friday based on the research of our intern. In order for us to meet our deadline, we need summaries from our intern to be sent to us every Thursday at the latest. Specific times will be arranged once an intern is selected.
