The intern would support the private sector team by:
1. Updating the USAID/Nigeria Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Tracker
2. Responding to requests concerning the loan and bond guarantee portfolio for the agriculture, health, and renewable energy sectors
3. Cover U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC) issues
4. Draft memos and clearance packages for program changes that require Mission leadership approval
5. Support the implementation of the Mission PSE Action Plan, and help facilitate the Mission PSE Working Group
6. Assist with the quarterly private sector development donor group meetings in Nigeria
7. Assist with the Mission response to Prosper Africa
8. Support the Mission in private sector engagement, private sector partnerships and trade and investment promotion
9. Other duties as assigned

Nigeria is the continent's most populous country, largest economy, and is the U.S. government's top priority in Sub-Saharan Africa. You will be a member of the Office of Economic Growth and Environment (EGE) in USAID/Nigeria and work with the private sector team. Someone who will join the team should be interested in finance, private sector, Africa and development.
