|Project Summary||Help Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River connect visitors to the free-flowing water of exceptional quality and Outstandingly Remarkable Values (cultural, ecological, geological, recreational, and scenic) that make this stretch of the Delaware River so unique and worthy of protection.|
|Agency||National Park Service|
|Number of Interns||1|
To reach a broader audience and to help better connect visitors to our Outstandingly Remarkable Values (ORVs), Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River, a unit of the National Park Service, is looking for an intern that can assist the natural and cultural resource divisions on creating digital content that supports or is developed from recent scholarship about the river valley. Projects would include creating data visualizations and summaries on migratory fish species like American shad that will be used in a Story Map being developed in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, and creating a virtual tour of famous author and fisherman Zane Grey’s refurnished study that was used in his home in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Opportunities to work on other natural and cultural resource projects, such as writing text and selecting photographs for new and/or updated web pages for the park website, creating social media content, assisting with drafting or reviewing text for new museum exhibits, and developing additional virtual tours or draft Story Maps of park properties are available.
We are looking for a creative individual with a strong interest in, and experience with, graphic design, and excellent writing and editing skills. An interest in fish and fishing is helpful, and appreciated, but not required.

There will be opportunities to work with virtual interns assigned to other divisions on related content.
