The Regional Security Office at the U.S. Consulate General in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico is tasked with protecting America’s diplomats as they carry out the important work of the State Department. You can be a part of that effort by helping us to manage risk by monitoring, analyzing, and better understanding the security environment. You will:
-Assist in developing a comprehensive risk management strategy.
-Monitor and analyze reports from various sources including blogs, social media, and traditional media outlets.
-Leverage research and analytical tools to develop insight on emerging trends.
-Produce written and graphical content in various forms ranging from short scene setters to in-depth reports.
We need a curious and self-motivated individual who can explore information and provide analysis with minimal direction. This is a great opportunity to learn about the exciting world of the U.S. foreign policy and to get your work in front of experienced State Department leaders. Spanish language proficiency preferred.
