You will participate virtually with the Human Rights and Migration unit within the Political Section in researching open source data on human rights violations in Mexico, review and synthesize NGO and government provided reports for accuracy and relevancy, and follow a range of issues from human trafficking, gender based violence, torture, freedom of expression, LGBTI issues, amongst others. Using your Spanish skills, you will monitor media outlets across Mexico for relevant reporting, and collate and update our databases for inclusion in our annual reporting to congress. In addition, you will help compile examples for inclusion in the annual Human Rights Report, Trafficking in Persons Report, and Religious Freedom Reports, gaining unparalleled experience drafting departmental reporting.
