The Returned Peace Corps Volunteers @ USAID (RPCV@USAID) mission is to foster a community of RPCVs and supporters of the Peace Corps within USAID. We aim to embody both the mission of USAID, as well as the spirit of the Peace Corps. This includes an ongoing commitment to the Peace Corps’ Third Goal, to help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans, and by engaging members in social events, volunteerism, and professional development.
The virtual intern would assist the RPCV@USAID with various administrative and research tasks. Tasks would include, but are not limited to, supporting the renewal of the board charter, helping draft the regular newsletter, attending board meetings and capturing notes, identifying professional development opportunities for group members, and other duties as assigned.
The Mission of Young Professionals at USAID (YP@AID) is to serve young professionals at USAID by building an internal community, boosting staff morale, expanding the professional community both inside and outside the Agency, and serving our DC metro community.
The virtual intern would help Young Professionals @ USAID (YP@AID) with its regular newsletter concerning relevant events and topics for young professionals. The intern would also assist in developing a white paper for challenges and solutions that young professionals face in the workforce. Additional opportunities to take on projects, attend professional events, and network within the Agency would occur throughout the year.
