|Project Summary||Analyze and map counter-wildlife trafficking responsibilities across South American governments. Help us organize the first-ever dedicated meeting of the South America Wildlife Enforcement Network (SUDWEN).|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||1|
Join the State Department's Regional Environmental Office covering South America! We are a small but passionate team located at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru, working with U.S. Embassies and Consulates throughout South America on cross-border environmental challenges.
The U.S. government is actively supporting the galvanization of SUDWEN, the South America Wildlife Enforcement Network. The future success of this network depends on getting the right people involved from each country. We need an intern to analyze government structure and identify the entities involved in wildlife trafficking enforcement, prosecution, and policymaking. We are also are interested in your ideas to further our additional projects.
You’ll be directly supervised by the Regional Environmental Officer and would need to be available to meet virtually on Central Standard Time during business hours.
