|Project Summary||Step up to support the US Department of State Sports Diplomacy Division-Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs as a utility player focused on storytelling and database management. Our e-intern will contribute to external messaging (social media, branding) & internal initiatives.|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||2|
The Sports Diplomacy Division utilizes the universal power of sport to transcend social and geographic differences and to promote American values of equality, inclusion, justice, and freedom. E-interns with the Sports Diplomacy Division will be integral in our efforts to brand our programs and to help tell the story of how sport is being used to change the world. E-interns will work on database management, as well as web and social media efforts to: (1) educate American and international audiences on the power of sport in addressing diplomatic priorities and (2) attract new athletes, program partners, sponsors, and educational institutions to the work of our office. E-interns with experience in visual data representation, graphic design, promotional materials, and/or social media will be given priority. Secondarily, e-interns with experience in database management, Airtable, and/or organization of large-scale multimedia projects will also be highly favored.
|Social media management|
(1) Branding, Marketing, & Design, and (2) Data Management. E-interns assisting with marketing needs will co-create content for social media, web pages, video projects, and pre-departure orientation materials. E-interns assisting with database management will focus on tracking down contact information for program participants, updating Airtable with new photos, videos, quotes, and ensuring information is labeled, tagged, and easily searchable on various platforms (e.g. Box, Flickr, etc.)
