In recent years, a number of bilateral (e.g. DFID, DFAT) and multilateral donor agencies (e.g. the World Bank Group, United Nations) have adopted both policies and strategies to enhance the efficacy of those organizations in supporting disability-inclusive development that furthers effective implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and achievement of Agenda 2030 / Sustainable Development Goals. The VSFS would assist USAID staff working on revision of USAID's 1997 Disability Policy, and would support these staff in: conducting analysis of comparable policies utilized by other bilateral and multilateral donors; drafting of briefing documents and materials for policy revision working group members; conducting consultations with internal and external stakeholders; and other support to an Agency policy revision working group as required.
