Project Description

The Distance Language Learning (DLL) program, within the School of Language Studies at the Foreign Service Institute of the Department of State, is modernizing and updating its online language courses. The DLL program provides online, instructor-guided language courses in 21 languages to U.S. diplomats, their families, and other federal agency employees. We recently started to refresh the Spanish beginner-level courses and are seeking creative and detail-oriented individuals to assist language instructors (who are native speakers of Spanish), program administrators, and instructional designers with this project.

The selected virtual interns will support curriculum development work by:
• creating course content and exercises in Spanish
• researching cultural information
• writing, proofreading, and editing content
• testing curriculum and providing feedback to developers

Interns should speak Spanish at or near the proficiency level of a native-speaker. Perfect for interns who interested in foreign language, education, or online learning. Prior experience creating course content or teaching Spanish is not required.
