Project Description

As the federal government's virtual internship program enters its second decade, we need your help telling our success stories. Make graphics, GIFs, short videos, and more. Whether you have a graphic design or videography background, or know how to do both, use your creative skills to marshal more participation and support for remote internships. Create stunning, high-quality content for our website, social media channels, and more. Document what a virtual internship entails today. Quantify what it means to say "Virtual Work, Real Experience." Tailor content to internal and external audiences.

If you have videography skills, you'll edit, animate, and close-caption videos. Work with the Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) team to write video scripts. Profile program alumni who've transitioned from eInterns to employees. Identify opportunities to repackage and re-cut existing footage for use in future outreach campaigns.

If you have graphic design skills, use your passion for illustrative design and typography to capture the attention of internal and public audiences. Collaborate with the team to ensure a consistent "look and feel." Create info graphics for digital marketing campaigns, social media platforms, newsletters, and more.

Additional Information

You will join a small team dedicated to eInternship promotion. We have the marketing lingo but need buzzy visuals, be it videos, graphics, social media content, something in between or all of the above.

Link to your online portfolio and include your proficiency with videography and/or graphic design software and platforms on your federal résumé or in your statement of interest. Access to and familiarity with videography and/or graphic design equipment and programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar is necessary because you will be the team’s subject matter expert in this arena.

Social media experience a plus but not required. Check out Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) social media content @VSFSatState and To learn more about the Virtual Student Federal Service, please explore
