Project Description

Marketing and Personnel Recruitment Research - Frankfurt and Rhein-Main area - Facility Management U.S. Consulate Frankfurt (the physically largest diplomatic post of the U.S. Government – 52 acres) Facility Management Section is seeking new announcement channels to communicate the vacancies in the Facility Management Section. Intern research from a previous project conducted by two students of the VSFS concluded that it is more financially viable to hire in-house staff to support the maintenance demands our over 67-year-old historic facilities than outsourcing. However, the labor market for engineers and trades workers in Germany is extremely competitive and it is a challenge to receive qualified applicants through the classic announcements in our Electronic Recruitment Application powered by Monster (ERA).
This position is expected to have two major tasks:
1) Identify announcement channels for engineers, administrative staff, trades workers/technicians vacancies
2) Research, collect and categorize data and identify advantages and disadvantages to each method with cost (in case it is used)
